Roaming in Iceland

Iceland, in Icelandic « Ísland », pronounced [ˈislant], meaning literally « the land of ice », is an island of extreme weather and contrasts, located at the boarder of the Artic Circle in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.

Volcanos, glaciers, black sand beaches, natural pools: this country of 330,000 inhabitants offers landscapes like no other. While the winter temperatures are very harsh, mid seasons and summer are perfect times for exploration, especially when you’re a photography aficionados. However, even during those seasons, you never know what to expect from weather, thus the importance of having the right gear to face unexpected elements.
