Arthur Joyeux bouillon and Jérôme Mirassou : a common passion for ultra trail

Two Pyrenex ambassadors conquer international trails

Arthur Joyeux bouillon

A Pyrenex ambassador for over 4 years, Arthur Joyeux Bouillon grew up skiing, ski mountaineering and cycling. Having fallen in love with trail running a few years ago, he has worked his way up the ranks, finishing 3rd in the TDS in 2021, and 7th in the UTMB in 2022.

What is UTMB 2023 ?

The Mont Blanc Ultra Trail is one of the biggest trail races in the world. It's a not-to-be-missed event for running enthusiasts. The trail consists of covering 170km of Mont Blanc and 10,000m of ascent, and pushes runners to surpass themselves for a week across the magnificent landscapes of France, Italy and Switzerland.

The latest record was beaten recently at the age of just 29, when he came 2nd in the Istria ultra trail. In all, he ran 168 km in a record time of 18:46! Despite a difficult course, especially at the end, and a few muscular complications, Arthur still succeeded in the new challenge he had set himself. By succeeding in both of his objectives - testing his limits and qualifying for the UTMB 2023 - he can now consider himself accomplished.

Some of Arthur's best achievements :

- Trail blanc de la Rosière 10km: 1st
- Montée sèche ski alpinisme Roc Noir: 2nd
- Pierre Menta Hiver: Top 30
- MIUT Ultra trail 117km: 12th
- Maratrail Raidlight festival 42km : 1st
- Circuit de la Sûre 65km: 3rd
- Grand Duc de Chartreuse_àkm: 1st
- Trail de La Rosière: 1st
- Ultra trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) 170km: 7th
- Trail des glières 42km: 2nd
- World Trail Championship 80km: 1st with the French team

Jérôme Mirassou

A keen runner, from ultra-trail to 100km and 24-hour road races, Jérôme Mirassou is also one of our Pyrenex ambassadors. Driven by a spirit of curiosity, after several years of competing in ultra-trail and 100km events, Jérôme Mirassou from Béarn is now tackling endurance road races and took part in the 24-hour French championships in Albi. He finished 2nd overall and 1st master! His initial objective has been achieved, as he will now be taking part in the 24-hour world championships in Taiwan next December.

Here are some of Jérôme Mirassou's greatest successes :

- Championnat de France 100km : 3ème au scratch, Championnat de France Master en 7h08
- Championnat du monde 100km : médaille d’argent avec équipe de France en 6h55
- Euskal Trail : Vainqueur d’étape
- Pyrénéa Triathlon : 2nd au scratch

As supporters of our ambassadors, we wish them every success in their future endeavours and wish them all the best for the future!
