Down jacket or parka for winter?
It is still winter, temperatures are still low and the ski slopes are well covered in snow... But is your wardrobe still up to date for winter? Is your heart torn between the Pyrenex down jacket and parka collection? In this article, we share our best tips for choosing the right winter garment!

The down jacket, an essential for cold winters
The down jacket is the ultimate cold-weather coat. It consists of a "shell" fabric and an insulating padding, allowing it to brave the coldest winter days. It comes in many variations: it can be padded with wadding or down (at Pyrenex we use only 100% natural down processed in our factory), be thin or thick... This depends on your needs and your winter outings. Choose a down jacket with good down if you go hiking in the mountains, or opt for a lightweight down jacket if you wear it mainly in the city. You can also use an ultra-light down jacket as a mid-layer beneath your favourite coat and thus enjoy the warmth of down while continuing to wear your favourite jacket.
The parka, for a warm and stylish winter
The parka is a timeless coat that appeals to both women and men. Designed to withstand all kinds of bad weather, it features a waterproof and water-repellent outer fabric and a warm inner lining to insulate against the cold. Long or short, with or without a hood, colourful or grey... The parka suits every style — find yours in the Pyrenex collection!
