At Pyrenex, a lightweight down jacket is a jacket with a lower fill of French natural down (specific to Pyrenex expertise) than warm winter down jackets, which have a high fill weight in order to withstand extreme temperatures. This means that the lightweight down jacket is designed to handle temperatures ranging from 5°C (lower comfort limit) to 15°C. Given that the weight of a lightweight jacket is around 400g, its characteristics are quite different from those of a warm down jacket.

Each year, on the occasion of its new spring-summer collection, Pyrenex manufactures two lines of lightweight and water-repellent down jackets, one for men (the Mauco model) and one for women (the Eulalie model), with no quilting and made entirely at its Manufacture in Saint-Sever. These lightweight jackets, which have become essential pieces in the summer season, evolve from year to year. The materials, finishes and design are developed in-house by our teams to make them truly distinctive pieces.
These down-filled jackets can be worn in mid-season or as a mid-layer under a jacket, a down jacket or a coat during winter.
