The filling of down jackets.
Resolutely feminine, the various models filled with natural duck down offer great comfort, warmth in winter and lightness during the transitional seasons. The feathers and down in these jackets have an exceptionally high insulating power relative to their weight and perform just as well as goose down. Depending on the season, the duck down filling varies from one quilted jacket to another. As with bedding, there is an ideal filling weight in "filling power" for given temperature ranges. The thicker the down jacket, the warmer it will keep you during periods of intense cold. Conversely, the thinner the down jacket, the more regulated and lighter the warmth for milder seasons.
