An exclusive collaboration
The coming together of two French brands with a heritage steeped in artisanal French craftsmanship brings to life a unique and exclusive collaboration.
Inspired by the respective expertise and heritage of Pyrenex and Paraboot, this collaboration gives birth to unique creations, marked by a mutual commitment to quality products. It embodies the French art de vivre, between heritage and modernity, imbued with the authenticity and heritage of both brands.
Two stories, one shared DNA
Founded in 1908, Paraboot is a French footwear brand created by Rémy Richard-Ponvert in the Alps. Initially specialising in leather shoes, it quickly set itself apart by introducing natural rubber soles, inspired by a trip to the United States. Today, Paraboot is particularly renowned for its robust and timeless designs, crafted to withstand demanding conditions, whether in the mountains or in urban environments.
Pyrenex has been crafting products of unparalleled lightness since 1859, thanks to its exceptional French down, refined at its factory in Saint-Sever. The company proudly holds the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" label since 2020.
Two iconic pieces revisited
Two houses with exceptional craftsmanship celebrate their role in the golden age of French alpinism with pieces carefully designed to withstand the elements in style: the Avoriaz shoes and the Audoubert down jacket.
The meeting between the technical and refined world of Pyrenex and Paraboot's art of shoemaking results in pieces designed to face the elements with style. Every detail of this collection has been carefully considered, from the robustness of the materials to the sophistication of the lines.
On one side, the new version of the Avoriaz shoe, inspired by mountain designs from the 1960s and 70s, blends smooth and grained leathers, paired with a recycled rubber sole.
On the other side, the Audoubert down jacket, a flagship piece from Pyrenex, was originally designed in collaboration with alpinist Louis Audoubert, the brand's technical adviser in the 1970s. Today, its revised reissue with Paraboot brings a timeless elegance, combining modernity and heritage.
