Description

An icon of the Pyrenex collection, the red John gilet reimagines the sleeveless down jacket in a timeless version, designed to be worn year after year. Versatile, it is equally suited to cool mid-season days and winter temperatures worn under a coat.

Its generous filling of natural French down adds light warmth and unparalleled comfort. Made from a shiny, water-repellent French taffeta, it bears an iconic vintage signature, enhanced by the large embroidered Pyrenex badge on the chest.

Available in a wide range of colours, from timeless shades to the boldest hues, the John gilet suits every style. Its regular cut is suited to all body types and can be worn one or two sizes up for an oversized silhouette inspired by streetwear.

Water-repellent treatment on the outer fabric that causes water droplets to bead off, preventing them from soaking into the material. A water-repellent treated textile is not designed to withstand immersion or prolonged heavy rain.

Breathable
Breathable

We measure the quantity of water (in vapour form) that the fabric allows to pass through in 24 hours. The higher the rating, the more breathable the fabric. From 5,000 g/m²/24h, a garment is considered breathable.

Windproof
Windproof

Use of a technical fabric ("softshell") that provides wind insulation. Ideal when it is cool or when the wind chill effect makes us cold.

• The female model is 1m77 tall and wears size L

• The male model is 1m83 tall and wears size L

• The John down jacket has a classic straight cut

Composition & care
  • Washing: 30° machine wash
  • Low-temperature machine drying. Down products: tumble dry with 2 dryer balls, minimum 4 hours at low temperature. Once dry, gently fluff the down clusters by hand to separate them.
  • Ironing at a maximum temperature of 110°C
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not dry clean
