Description

Very light, the Moorea summer duvet is filled with goose down and feathers. Like duck down, this filling is harvested, then sorted and selected at our Saint-Sever factory to obtain the best quality with the best loft power. Very little is therefore needed to achieve a certain degree of warmth. In the Moorea duvet, a weight of 100g/m² is sufficient to provide balanced warmth for summer and even mid-season when night-time temperatures are mild. With its satin shell and beautiful finishes, the Moorea duvet is very elegant and enhances your bed and bedroom to elevate your nights. This duvet can be paired by press studs with other duvets in the Moorea range, to enjoy its softness right through to the heart of winter. Placed alone on the bed, its pairing press studs are discreet and will not bother you under the fitted sheet. Enjoy gentle nights in every season with the lightweight Moorea duvet.

Fill power. Measured in CUIN – cubic inches – it refers to the capacity of a given weight of filling to occupy a given volume. The greater the volume occupied, the higher the insulation and lightness performance of the down. Products with a fill power above 480 are already considered very high quality.

Care

To ensure a PYRENEX bedding product retains all its properties and softness, the brand makes the following recommendations:

  • For optimal use of your product, we recommend removing it from its packaging at least 24 hours before first use so that it regains its full loft
  • Shake it daily so that the filling remains evenly distributed
  • Rotate the duvet top to bottom every 15 days
  • On a sunny day, spread it between two chairs or hang it at the window for a few hours to air it as often as possible and at least three times a year (avoid hanging it on a washing line)
  • Machine wash and dry it according to the care instructions provided, or entrust it to a professional
  • Wash your duvet and pillow 1 to 2 times a year.

Washing

A duvet placed inside a duvet cover does not require frequent washing. If an unexpected stain means it needs to be washed, the washing instructions must absolutely be followed and, ideally, it should not be washed more than once a year. If done properly, this annual wash will restore all its lightness and loft.

As a general rule, always refer to the product label.

  • Pillows: machine washable in a 5 kg drum machine.
  • Duvets: at a launderette with a 15 kg drum machine.
  • Regarding detergent: we recommend using liquid detergent and following the dosage instructions. As liquid detergent is more soluble, it will rinse out much more effectively. All our natural duvets are delivered with one dose of soap for 1 wash.
  • 5 or 6 rinse cycles are necessary.

Drying

Machine drying, gentle and thorough, on a synthetic or delicate programme. Minimum 4 hours. It is important that your duvet or pillow is completely dry to prevent any mould developing afterwards.

Important

To restore loft to your duvet and pillow during drying, it is essential to place 2 to 3 dryer balls in the drum of the tumble dryer.
