The John vest is a unisex sleeveless down vest that has become a staple of the Pyrenex wardrobe. Versatile, it can be worn in the mid-season or in winter under a coat for extra insulation. Its generous filling of natural French down ensures comfortable warmth while maintaining excellent lightness. Its shiny, water-repellent, and durable French taffeta fabric adds an iconic vintage touch that defines the style. Available in a wide range of colors, from understated shades to the most daring hues, the John vest adapts to all styles. Its regular fit suits all body types, while a larger size allows for a decidedly oversized, streetwear silhouette.

A water-repellent treatment is applied to the outer fabric making water drops roll off and preventing them from soaking into the material. Water-repellent textiles are not designed to withstand immersion or sustained long rainfall exposures.

We calculate the amount of water (in the form of vapour) that the fabric lets through in 24 hours. The higher the degree, the more breathable the fabric. At 5,000g/m2/24hrs, the garment is considered to be breathable.
