The bathrobe extends the pleasure of a shower or bath. Made from 450 g/m² cotton terry, the Pyrenex bathrobe from the Hana range dries the body while keeping you warm. It can be worn after a bath or first thing in the morning, in white or dark blue.
A 450 g/m² terry bathrobe
The Pyrenex bathrobe is made from the same terry as the bath towels, with a weight of 450 g/m². This weight is a deliberate choice: lighter than the towels' 600 g/m², it keeps the bathrobe supple and easy to wear, whereas overly dense terry becomes stiff and heavy on the shoulders.
Zero-twist yarn provides a soft feel and good absorbency, which matters for a garment in direct contact with wet skin. The long cotton fibres ensure loft and comfort when worn.
Terry or waffle weave: two types of bathrobe
There are two main types of bathrobe construction. Looped terry is warm and dries the body: this is the post-bath bathrobe, the one from Pyrenex. Waffle weave, a flat and lightweight fabric, dries quickly and takes up little space, but is less warm. It is more suited to a summer or spa bathrobe.
The Pyrenex terry bathrobe is therefore best suited to comfort and warmth after a bath, rather than for travel, where lightness is paramount.
Cut and colours
The Hana range offers a cotton bathrobe in a unisex cut, in white and dark blue. The colours coordinate with the rest of the bath linen.
Care
Wash at 40 to 60 °C without fabric softener, like towels. Tumble dry at a moderate temperature. Fasten the belt before washing to prevent it from tangling. The terry bathrobe benefits from tumble drying, which lifts the loops and restores its softness.
