Each small item of bath linen has its own role. The 30 × 50 cm face towel dries the face and short hair. The 30 × 30 cm guest towel waits by the basin for hands. Both are made from cotton terry and coordinate with the Hana and Yumi ranges.
Face towel and guest towel: two small sizes, two uses
These two items are often confused because they are small, but they do not serve the same purpose.
The face towel, measuring 30 × 50 cm, dries the face after washing and absorbs water from short hair. Its elongated shape allows it to be placed around the neck or wrapped briefly around it. It is also the towel you take to the gym to mop up perspiration.
The guest towel, measuring 30 × 30 cm, is square and smaller. It is placed near the basin for guests to dry their hands, in the toilet or an additional bathroom. The set of two guest towels from the Hana range is designed for this decorative yet practical use.
To dry yourself after a shower, you need to move up to the next size: the 50 × 100 cm bath towel. And for washing itself, the washcloth remains the most straightforward option.
Cotton terry, even in small sizes
These two towels use the collection’s cotton terry. In small sizes, the quality of the terry is just as noticeable as on a large towel: a soft, absorbent face towel feels more pleasant against the face than rough terry, and a dense guest towel creates a refined impression in a bathroom.
The texture of the terry cloth provides gentle exfoliation. For the face, it is better to pat than rub, especially on sensitive or blemish-prone skin.
Sizes and colours
Face towel: 30 × 50 cm. Guest towel: 30 × 30 cm, often sold as a set of two. Colours coordinated with the rest of the bath linen: white, ecru, terracotta, peacock blue, dark blue.
Care
Wash at 60 °C without fabric softener, like washcloths. As these small towels come into direct contact with the face, a high temperature is recommended for hygiene. Air dry or tumble dry at a moderate temperature. Hanging them flat after use prevents them from remaining damp in a bundle.
