Immersions d'Altitude, In the footsteps of Louis Audoubert

Technical advisor to Pyrenex for the design of down jackets and mountaineering equipment for several decades, Louis Audoubert is above all an emblematic figure of the Pyrenees. He has traversed most of the world's great mountains, opening up new routes with exceptional rope-mates. Through his books, films and conferences, the notion of immersion in the mountains and his love of sharing are omnipresent.

At the age of 88, Louis still has the same curiosity that has taken him to the highest mountains in the world with precious rope-mates. Whether in Pakistan, the Andes or opening up one of the most difficult routes on the north face of the Grandes Jorasses, simple, authentic friendship always prevails.

The younger generation of mountaineers wanted to pay tribute to him by climbing some of the routes that marked his career, including the Dièdre Audoubert in the Spanish Pyrenees, the traverse of the Meije massif in the Hautes Alpes and the Intégrale de Peuterey on Mont Blanc. Louis's literature, period films and slides were the guiding thread in the making of this film.
